Scope of the Area Redevelopment Plan

The components to be included in the ARP have been established through
reference to the MGA and the Town of Canmore Municipal Development Plan. Although not listed as a separate component, a comprehensive Public Consultation Program will be conducted throughout the planning and adoption process.

The ARP will consist of four basic components:

bulletData Collection & Site Analysis: This will include existing land use and physical opportunities and constraints, transportation and traffic analysis, biophysical inventory, historical resource analysis, engineering and geotechnical analysis and a social Impact Analysis.
bulletLand Use Plan: The land use plan will include maps and supporting text
describing the proposed land uses, road access and circulation, phasing of new development, utilities servicing.
bulletObjectives and Policies: The policy section will establish the goals and objective for the ARP and set out the detailed policies related to the land use, urban design, social impact, environmental, transportation and servicing components of the plan.
bulletSupportive Documentation: This will include supporting reports and materials prepared primarily during the site analysis stage.
